This is my first post. Guess I should tell you a little bit about myself.
Well, my name's Jamie. I just turned 27 on July 4th. (Yes, Independence Day. Sorry if that sounds bumptious but I get that more than you could imagine.) Newlywed. No children, at the moment...
I just moved across the country from Maryland to California with my new husband, it took us a month by car. It was an amazing adventure with many stops along the way to visit family and friends. Some great food too!
And please don't get the wrong impression by the journal title and link, I'm not religious... Though I am quite Spiritual. If you have to use labels, I would say I am a mix of Buddhism, Taoism, and Pantheism. I do believe in one God... Source... Higher Power... Which ever term you wish to use, and I also believe we are ALL part of that Source. That Energy. E=MC2
I have a very liberal political standpoint, but I do refuse to be labeled by it. I'll just say that I am open minded and tolerant. I believe in diversity and acceptance. Being fearless and loving. Peace, harmony, abundance, and happiness. That may sound like I am some kind of hippie if you don't share these beliefs, and if you must judge, well, so be it.
I've recently been discovering myself, profoundly. Learning more every day. For instance, a couple of weeks ago, I discovered I am very interested in baking. Something that came up now and again subtly but really revealed itself one day as I was looking at some recipes. I felt excited inside about it! I can only describe the feeling as opening a present on Christmas morning! I've also discovered in the last month that I create my own life experiences. And have the same feeling about that!
